I went to Paige at the beginning of Year 12 when I was considering dropping to English Standard but knew I was able to complete the English Advanced course if I had the right help and pushed myself to the best of my ability. Paige was a welcoming, kind and supportive tutor who assisted me in preparing well for the HSC. In our weekly lessons we went over the content which I had felt confused about and I immediately felt more confident due to her comprehensive assistance on the rubric and the way she taught me proper ways to structure responses. In addition, Paige provided and assisted me with practice questions, detailed marking on a tight turn around and incredibly helpful resources to build deeper understanding on the modules. I thought maybe I'll just magically become good at it but when I got into Year 11, it hit me. I realised I needed help if I was ever going to improve. The Study Club has been nothing but beneficial for increasing my understanding of content and increasing my productivity levels. The structured lessons have improved my understanding and preparation for assessments but what's most commendable is the approach to learning. The format of the lessons is unlike the 'regular tutoring company', but rather incorporates activities ranging from the teaching and recall of the syllabus to activities requiring student engagement which allows for both a productive and genuinely enjoyable lesson. Paige has been extremely helpful in increasing my motivation to learn as well as changed the way I answer certain questions and recall certain topics. This has positively changed my whole overview of the subject. Not to mention, but she's one of the nicest people to talk to, making the awkward relationship between student and tutor inexistent.
